I found a video on YouTube saying Lucky Star has been licensed by Bandai. Here is the video:

I couldn’t find any “official” source for this so who knows if its true? Bandai surprisingly did a good job with the Haruhi DVDs so hopefully if its true they can do just as well.

I wasn’t exactly expecting this… I figured when Haruhi sings at the cultural festival, they would still use the Japanese version. I guess that wouldn’t make much sense now that I think about it but thats what I was expecting. Anyways, a preview of “God Knows…” in English has been released, sang by Wendee Lee, Haruhi’s English voice actress.

Doesn’t sound too bad really. Looking forward to hearing the whole thing. Volume 4 is set to be released on November 6 but you can preorder it here.

After watching both the original Japanese and the English dub of the Haruhi DVDs, I just want to share what I think of them. In my opinion, the Japanese far surpasses the English version. They did have a good cast lined up for the dub but really they can’t compare. Personally I don’t think anyone could play Haruhi Suzumiya better than Aya Hirano. And I also don’t think Mikuru’s voice can be properly imitated in English. For someone who hasn’t seen the Japanese version, the Haruhi English dub is very good and still funny, but it just sounds out of place when you’ve heard the original.

I’m beginning to wonder if Haruhi Season 2 will air this fall season or not. There has been practically no news on it, and also Kyoto Animation has another anime airing this fall already. I’ll keep you all posted with any news concerning Haruhi season 2 but I’m really starting to worry. Could it have been pushed back to the winter season? I couldn’t read it (lol), but I thought the announcement back in July on Haruhi.tv confirmed that it would be out this fall. Also, if anyone has any information on this, don’t hesitate to send it our way.
